Attention Writers, H.P. Lovecraft is Calling You Out

“At night, when the objective world has slunk back into its cavern and left dreamers to their own, there come inspirations and capabilities impossible at any less magical and quiet hour. No one knows whether or not he is a writer unless he has tried writing at night.” – H.P. Lovecraft

A quote from the master of horror himself.  The father of the Cthulhu mythos, Lovecraft’s “weird fiction” still holds up today, almost a century later.  His gripping prose invokes suspense and horror greater than any other author I know.  (Yes, even Stephen King, who cites Lovecraft as one of his greatest influences.)

So you think you’re a writer?  Unless you write by night, H.P. says you’ll never know.  – CB
