My name is Corey McCullough. I’m a freelance writer, editor, and proofreader. I’m a full-time freelancer and a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association.
My very first “job” was helping out on the weekends at my grandpa’s music store when I was twelve, cleaning the floors and tuning the guitars. After that, my ugly résumé includes positions like lab assistant, gas station attendant, Applebees waiter, Waldenbooks sales associate/key-holder, restaurant cook, secretarial assistant, UPS delivery guy, telemarketer (don’t ask), McDonalds fry cook, and factory cleaning crew member. And, yes, that last one involved toilets.
After graduating college, I worked as a copywriter for an asset management company, and after that, I put my degree to work as a field archaeologist for an environmental consulting firm to spend my time digging up prehistoric artifacts and conducting cultural resource surveys in Appalachia.
Now, I’m a full-time freelancer specializing in copyediting, proofreading, and creative writing. My clients say I’m skilled, professional, reliable, flexible, and easy to work with.
